election weekend

Tired of all the commotion surrounding the 2010 elections my siblings and I decided to go out of town, destination:  Puerto de San Juan.  Initially, we were planning to go surfing.  Unfortunately, all rooms at San Juan Surf Resort, allegedly the best surf resort in the north were booked.  We had to settle for any available beach resort with a big pool.

There are not many high-end resorts in the north.  Actually, it is kind of disappointing that the government is not developing the beautiful natural resources of Luzon.  You can count with one hand the resorts worthy of mention.  And since there are very few of them, every single one is fully booked. Cafe Provencal

I was in queue for a taxi going to the bus terminal. The line was not moving at all. Thousands of taxis in Metro Manila and not one happens by Shangri la! I decided to ditch the line and have dinner first.

A burger? I just had one a couple of days ago. Japanese? Hmmm… Something Italian? Oohh. Been craving for pizza for the longest time now.

Cafe Provencal popped into my head. I had only been there once with a friend and had one too many mozzarella balls. But they were good. Cafe Provencal it is! (more…)

Not once has PLDT provided me with good customer service. For the more than five years of subscription I have with them, I could not recall a time when I was satisfied with the service they have provided.

Three days ago, I received my PLDT bill. Glaring at me was a notice of disconnection! How the freak did that happen when I already enrolled the bill for autocharging to my credit card. Grrr…

I called the customer service.

Iron Man 2

Just saw Iron Man 2 last night. Unfortunately, only in 2d. I was planning to go to SM MOA to see it in Imax but my Juan Tamad genes took over and instead, I just settled on watching it at Robinsons.

There weren’t that many people watching. I was expecting at least a full house but I almost had the entire row to myself. And it’s just the first week of showing! But it may just be because it’s shown in 4 out of the 7 cinemas of the mall or maybe because it was the last full show. Not sure. (more…)
