Switch

Look at us. Running around. Always rushed. Always late. I guess that’s why they call it the Human Race. What we crave most in this world is connection. And for some people that happens at first sight. It’s “When you know, you know”. It’s fate working its magic. And that’s great for them. They get to live in a pop song, ride the express train. But that’s not the way it really works. For the rest of us it’s a bit less romantic. It’s complicated and it’s messy. It’s about horrible timing and fumbled opportunities and not being able to say what you need to say when you need to say it. At least that’s the way it was for me.

This is the opening monologue to ‘the switch.’ I was looking for something to watch to night and absentmindedly clicked on the first movie that I saw.  It’s a bit close to home. It hit a spot.

I am feeling a bit down today. i probably woke up on the wrong side of the bed.  But hey, there are good days and there are better days.  Today, is just one of those good days.  But I’ll feel better soon. I know I will. I’ve already had my dose of adrenaline and endorphins for the day and there’s more to come this week so everything will really be better. Switching the frown face to a smiley face.  The better days always start with a big, wide smile. =)
